MM Website

My argument states that teachers need to change the way they teach and how they act in the classroom.  Many students have a difficult time learning at school, and it does not help to have a teacher that is pessimistic and intimidating.  Teachers should learn how to switch the way they teach their students in order to make the world of education more successful.  I also focus on the struggles that students who have learning disabilities have to face in school.  One of the main reasons as to why my argument is current and relevant is because education is something that affects people starting at a very young age.  Students learn a lot from their teachers at the very start of their educational experience.  Teachers need to be able to show a positive example to their students and they need to allow their students that it is okay to share their ideas and participate in classroom discussions and activities.  Far too many teachers exhibit inappropriate attitudes towards their students in the classroom.  Students need to have encouragement and they need to feel comfortable when there are in the classroom.  If students do not feel comfortable, they will be far less likely to offer their opinions and ideas in class.  In addition, teachers need to offer direct, explicit instruction to their students if their students do not understand the lesson or activity at hand.  Students with disabilities will learn better if teachers explain things in detail and with patience.  It is important for people to know about how teachers need to change their ways because education affects everyone.

  1. I thought that your website was the best out of the three that we intensively reviewed last Thursday. I could tell that you researched your topic and actually care about informing people on the web about special education. I wish you the best in using all of our comments to make you website perfect and one of a kind.
