Alright so I am finally starting to get the hang of BSU's dining schedule. It doesn't really make much sense to me though. I find it a little strange that the stores do not open until 8:30am on the weekdays...yet they are open at 7:30am on the weekends? Maybe it's just me, but it seems kind of stupid that the stores would be open later on the weekends when everyone wants to sleep...hmm. They close pretty early too. Most places where you can get food is only open until 7:30...and they usually stop making food at 7.
Also, I think the meal plan system is a little annoying. I generally have a couple dollars left to spend at each meal, so I find myself buying snacks that I can save for later and share with friends....which isn't necessarily bad...but when you have more food leftovers than you have space to store them, it can be a little hectic. I wish our meal plans were more organized and the money that you didn't spend at your meal could be refunded at the end of the semester. :)

I completely agree! I hate when I don't spend all of the money, because I feel like I should otherwise it is just going to waste! I always end up grabbing candy until I get as close to $7.55 as I can, and now my desk is full of candy!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hate that the dining places close so early on the weekends too, I usually like to eat around 7-8...but when everything closes so early I have to eat early and I hate it! :(
I totally agree. I think that the dining system is really annoying. I have never heard of any other schools doing it this way. I wish that Ball State had a place that was open 24 hours. A lot of my friends from different schools make late night runs to get some food with some friends which sounds really fun, but everything here closes early!
ReplyDeleteI agree completely, even though i work at the grill in lafollette i still do not understand why we close so early... The thing i dont understand the most is on week days out of bounds in lafollette closes at midnight yet on weekends when everyone is still awake it closes at 8:30 on saturday and 9 on sunday.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I hate the schedule of dining hours, and I REALLY hate that we have to spend all of our meal money or we lose it...I just hate that. I definitely think it should either be refunded or tacked onto our Dining Plus. That would be great!
