Yesterday, my cousin came to Ball State and picked me up so we could hang out. We went back to her house; she lives in Carmel so it was about an hour drive. I dropped off all of my stuff and we talked for a while and then decided to head out when her husband got home. We drove over to Stuckey Farm to pick apples. I remember that the last time I was on a farm was when I was in preschool and our class went on a hayride and got to see the animals in the petting zoo haha. Anyway, all three of us picked about 3 bags of apples, which turned out to be a grand total of 43 apples. We love apples. Later on, we drove back to their house and decided to go out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Cancun. When we finished dinner we went home and decided to start cooking. We chopped up a TON of apples and started to make apple sauce, apple cider, and apple pie. Everything smelt so good! Especially since we were adding a ton of cinnamon to the recipes! We cooked and baked for a while and then decided to watch the movie,
Chloe. My honest advice would be NOT to see that movie. It's one of those movies that looks good in the previews but lets ya down when you actually watch it. Anyway, I had a ton of fun with them and I hope all of you had an awesome weekend too! :)
Aw that's really awesome! I remember when I was in grade school and we took field trips to apple orchards! I loved the carmel apples and apple cider :) I'm planning on going to an apple orchard/pumpkin patch in October, and I'm so excited! I haven't been since I was little either! :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to an apple orchard in 2 weeks! This just made me excited all over again! lol. But my dad used to live in Carmel, and that Cancun restaurant is phenomenal. I hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteThere is an apple orchard about 5 minutes from my home in Indianapolis. My grade school always use to take a field trip there and pick apples. I get my pumpkins there for Halloween too. Hopefully I can make a trip to the apple orchard when I go back home :)
